Brathay Trust

Brathay is an outdoor learning centre and youth charity based in Ambleside, Cumbria.  They commissioned us to produce an Audience Development Plan, as part of their Future Plan, and the design phase of a capital programme that could see the outdoor learning centre transformed over the next ten years. 

The project involved a period of consultation with Brathay Trust clients and professionals in the youth and skills development sector, including a co-creation session with a group of young people.   We carried out extensive desk research looking at the fundraising and commercial opportunities and policy developments in the youth sector. 

We developed a bespoke Audience Segmentation to inform the Future Plan project and as a strategic tool for the Brathay team.   Our Audience Development Activity plan to inform the design of the capital project and to set some realistic and achievable audience development targets which could be actioned in the short and medium term.
